The Clare Coat is a chic cool-weather staple. Featuring raglan sleeves and an unstructured A-line silhouette, Clare is a great introduction to the joys of coat making.

View A hits at mid thigh, with a face-framing collar, princess sleeves, exposed asymmetrical zipper and welt pockets. View B has a more minimalist vibe; double breasted, it ends at the hip hip with inseam pockets, full length sleeves and a dramatic funnel collar.

Clare is available as an instant gratification PDF (with copyshop and print at home files), or as a beautifully printed pattern. See our guide to printing & assembling PDF files here. Both versions feature our meticulously written and easy to follow instructions, designed to give everyone beautiful results regardless of skill level.

Clare COAT

Nice pattern, sizes are good and mainos good instructions . Pattern paper is though very thin and it good be more better said in the booklet that patterns include seam allowances. Now I really had to find the information when my pieces didn't match at once.

Clare Coat

I made this coat in a rich green wool mix. The lining in a fabulous matching green silk like polyester, with a small amount of stretch. I also added a swish diver chain to the rear neck asa hanger.
The instructions were comprehensive and relatively easy to follow. The added drawings are always helpful.
The finished product was really well acknowledged on my Instagram account.
Thankyou Closet Case Patterns

Wonderful!

This is a wonderfully clear pattern to follow. Having never made a coat before I was very anxious, but committed. The fabric used was a gifted 5 yards of pure camel hair. Using both the written pattern and the online sew along I was able to make a Beautuful coat. I’m so eager to try another Closet Case Pattrrn.
