I've only been sewing again for a year now, and most of that time I've been pining over the Kelly Anorak. I wasn't sure if my beginner skills were up to the task, but decided to take a chance on it in July 2018. I wish I had taken the leap of faith sooner! This pattern is incredible, and so is the finished garment. The instructions are perfectly detailed and clear without being too "hand-holdy", and the accompanying illustrations are even more helpful.
I am honestly so pleased with the Kelly, and fall weather can't get hear fast enough so I can show it off!!
this jacket took a very long time but it turned out beautifully. all my friends and family were wowed. I got the lined extension pack and did the lined version. i'm a beginning-intermediate sewer and thanks to the online tutorial and written instructions i was able to figure it all out just fine. i'm 5'5" and 125lb and got a size 8. Didn't have to make any adjustments, it fits perfectly! I did add some straps with snaps to the sleeves around the wrist because the lined version doesn't have cuffs. made it in a navy twill and it's a perfect all-season jacket.
Awesome quality and great instructions. I really like the way the jacket turned out. Lots of compliments. I have the kit for my upcoming Ginger jeans.
