An elegant basic featuring a fluidly draped silhouette, the Ebony Tee is a versatile wardrobe staple you’ll want to wear every day.
Make a swingy knit dress or modern cropped top, with your choice of scoop or jewel neckline, and long or 3/4 sleeves. For the ultimate leggings companions, make an Ebony tunic, with a cascading hem and short raglan sleeves. All necklines are finished with a knit band.
Ebony is also available as a PDF download.
Model notes: Our model is 5'-10" and is wearing a size 10.
Make a fluid, drapey tee with light to medium-weight knits with at least 30% crosswise stretch, such as rayon, cotton, silk, merino & linen jerseys. A more sculptural Ebony can be made with sturdier fabrics like ponte and scuba knits.

I've made this twice..one for me and one for my daughter who is expecting.each time I wear this dress I get positive comments from my co-workers. I feel like I am wearing my pajamas to work! I adjusted the hemline on my daughter's dress to accommodate maternity silhouette. this will definitely be one of my go-to patterns!
I made this for my daughter, for maternity wear. She loves it!
Made my first but not last Ebony top a couple weeks ago. It was simple to make and is very flattering.
After struggling for hours with a small Christmas project, I cut out the Ebony pattern in a remnant from LAfinch. From cutting to almost finishing (sans hem and sleeves) took two hours. When my sons girlfriend tried it in the next day it was a perfect fit so I pinned the hem and sleeves and put the double needle in to quickly finish the dress. The neckline instructions were perfect and it fit perfectly. After removing the neck band twice in another dress a few weeks earlier I was impressed.
ClosetCase patterns have the best instructions and this was another win. Can’t wait to make another one!
The instructions are easy to understand. I ordered a paper pattern and the booklet is lovely. I discovered that more yardage was needed than recommended for the dress in my size and customer service was quick to respond and help with the issue.
I have made two dresses and they are so comfortable and cute. It is an easy and satisfying sew. I look forward to sewing more Closet Case patterns
I am NOT a clothing maker, but I got this pattern to use with my new serger. I completed the t shirt in less than 2 hours and it is a perfect fit! The pattern was easy to follow and I can see many more in my future. Maybe I AM a clothing maker!
