From the Closet Case Patterns Community
Closet Case knew exactly what you would need when they threw in that extra button! "I wont mess up, I wont mess up," I keep saying, but of course as I was so excited to finish my overalls, I TOTALLY messed up my first button. Luckily I had that extra! The shipping was lightning fast, too!
As a new sewist, having this kit for the Jenny Overalls made my job a lot easier. I didn't have to worry about getting the wrong size buckle or mismatched metals. The quality is great and installation was easy, especially after reading the tutorials. After the first pair of Jennys, I came back for another set for the Jenny shortalls I made. I've placed 3 orders and been very impressed with the Customer Service at Closet Case. Twice I had issues, that were not CC's fault and they happily helped me resolve them. They have a really great system to get shipments from Canada to the US in a timely and cost effective manner! AND to top it off the patterns are top notch!
All I got was the hardware. I used it to make the Pauline Alice patterns dungarees. It doesn't include rivets or zippers, so I bought those separately. Assuming if you're making the Jenny's you are good to go. The order arrived in a timely fashion. The materials seem to be of good quality and I'm happy with how they worked in my overalls. Suggestion - mix and match hardware option. CCP is my favorite place to buy hardware, but it generally only comes in a kit form for specific patterns. Would be cool if you could buy by the rivet (so to speak). Just a thought - thanks!
It's awesome-all the hardware you'll need, packaged for your convenience, to complete your beautiful Jenny overalls. I am a huge fan of CCP hardware kits because I love the convenience of not having to hunt down the stuff to complete my project. Thank you!!! Try the jeans hardware kits.
I made my sister an overall jean skirt for Christmas. I wanted something a little nicer than what i could find in the fabric store. These worked great and look great also. I had to alter the pattern a wee bit because they were wider than what it was designed for. That was easy enough.
I was also glad to find such a wonderful website through my search for overall buckles!
